Description: This octagonal plaque is an Art Deco period (1929) bronze restrike. A beautiful nude woman with long hair is kneeling and holding up and offering mixed fruits in a large basket.The nouveau influence of the engraver, Lenoir, is evident. It is uniface, meaning the reverse is blank. It is alsi larger than most medals of this sort. Pierre-Charles LENOIR (1879 - 1953) was a notableFrench sculptor and medallist. His works are very desirable. Dimensions : 74 mm x 55 mm = 2.9 inches x 2.2. inchesapproximately. Weight (gr) : 174 grams Edge: Small oval mark at 6 o'clock position with several characters inside, including one which appears to be a cornucopia, indicating Paris, France mint. Condition : Excellent Authenticity: Restrike in beautiful condition is this bronze medal. It is minted from the same die as the original but at a later date. I purchased this item in 2007, shipped from Paris, France.
