Description: Offered for sale is a late 18th or early 19th century New England redware jar or canister. It has double incised lines around both the collar and mid-body for decoration and is coated in a dark manganese slip. There are two 1/4 inch chips to the rim interior and a spot of glaze loss on the bottom, all seen in the photos, with no cracks or other issues.
