Description: Very nice antique watercolor that has been double-glazed in frame. That is there is glass on both sides (top and back) of the artwork. The frame measures 12x 14 inches. The visible part of watercolor is approx. 3x 4 inches. I believe it was framed about 100 years ago. The frame needs a little repair. The artwork looks to be in excellent condition. There is a note on back of artwork ]. It may be original with the work ir added later. It reads From framed painting… “Here is a little road to walk on when you need to think. If you want know what those streaks of paint are hanging from the larger tree let me tell you what it is. Moss that grows on trees in the south. It eventually kills them but it looks pretty”- very interesting. I have owned 40 years. It was bought in a collection. I have never taken out of frame. It is double-glazed so quite heavy. Art in excellent condition. Glas intact. Wood needs touching up. Needs careful packing.
