Description: Antique Lot of 8 Putz Country and Farm Figurals - 1920's Click images to enlarge Description Here is an old lot of hand painted composition children and adults, typically displayed around Christmas time, or along with a train set-up. They were made in Italy and Germany in the 1920's just after WWI. They are in very good used condition, as shown. They range in height from 2-1/4" high (little blond girl holding her kitty) and the tallest is the man wearing the overcoat, hat and tie, and holding a walking cane. Under the body is stamped but cannot make make out the word. It looks like GERM (Germany ?). The lady carrying a silver milk pail with her right arm sticking out cannot be read. The man holding the top hat looks like he belongs with the woman wearing the hat with the visor style front. They both have a sticker on the bottom; hers is 178/87 and his is 178/86. They both read Early Colonial Costume.The man wearing a hunter style hat and holding a pipe reads Italy. The last two women are the same except for that their clothes colors are completely different colors. This is a nice old original lot!
