Description: Antique Japanese Satsuma Earthenware Vase. Features images of Japanese "Immortals" - immortal characters that symbolize good fortune & happiness. The Shimazu clan crest is also featured on the upper portion of the vase. Vase is hand painted with colors of green, orange, brown, yellow, etc. Gosu blue (cobalt blue) glaze on upper & lower areas. Moriage & gilded details. The maker's mark on the bottom is a red, hand-scripted Japanese mark (could not identify). ca 1868-1912. Dimensions: 10" tall, 5" diameter (at widest). Condition: Used.
