Description: 14" tall ancient islamic Dallah, in case you are not familiar, these pots have been around for thousands and thousands of years. They symbolize generosity and giving back to others. Kept in the home and kept ready for any guests - announced or unannounced. They were also often stamped with either a 'maker's mark' - or more commonly the seal or brand of the family/owner of the pot. This pot has been in my family for generations bestowed to my father as a dear gift from a man he was acquainted with from his work and travels. In my upbringing, I was told that this pot was a couple hundred years old.
