Description: Circa 1820's historical Staffordshire dark blue transfer cup plate with the view "Cottage in the Woods," possibly Ruggles House. This is from the Trefoil border series by Enoch Wood & Sons. It is impress marked "WOOD" in tiny letters. Measures 3 3/4" across. Condition is basically perfect. No chips, no cracks, no repairs, no crazing and virtually no wear other than a few tiny light utensil marks seen when tilted in light that aren't worth mentioning. Nice color and shiny glaze.
