Description: For sale is this antique watercolour painting on paper. From the style and subject matter I would estimate it was painted around 1800, during the Georgian period. I believe it is an artist's sketch for a larger oil painting as there are some notes in pencil as well as a description of the area in pen and ink. It is framed with a nice birdseye maple frame which measures about 6 by 7 inches and comes with its original glass. The painting is in very good condition with a couple of folds but strong colours. The peirod frame has some veneer loss as well as damage to the gold lip. It's an interesting historical relic which presents well.
