Description: Beautiful old Brazilian dagger, facon gaucho type, made in Germany in the first half of the 20th century, 1920-1940, brand HIGH LIFE (according to the catalog it is a registered trademark of Eugen Haring - Solingen), and on the other side stamped GIUDICE - SOLINGEN , probably the Brazilian importer, some armory, cutlery of the time. The dagger is in excellent condition, I would say that it was never used, excellent carbon steel blade with a nickel plating, with a beautiful double edge in the last third of the blade, very beautiful acid workmanship, the handle has the handguard in metal, bolsters in german silver, handle looks like brownish horn with inserts of black circles, possibly ebony, the original sheath in excellent conditions, german silver and quality cowhide. The knife is excellent as can be seen in the photos, it has only the detail that the handguard is somewhat with movement because the handle does not fit it to the blade, after all everything is very firm. Measurements: dagger: 27 cm (10.8in). blade: 15.5 cm (6.2in) x 1.8 cm maximum width and 0.45 cm maximum thickness.
