Description: This vintage and possibly antique brooch or pin features a piece of carved and pierced pale amethyst in a sterling silver setting. The stone and thus the pin is 1 1/2 inches wide, 1 1/8 inches high and a good 1/4 inch thick. It closes with a safety clasp, is stamped sterling and is in excellent overall condition. One seller returned this brooch saying it was too lacking in color.. It is a pale color but is nicely carved and pierced and the natural color is what it is.. to use an old cliche.
