The orange covering the entire reverse of the note is like nothing that exists today! It is a 1882 $50 Gold Certificate with the signatures of Bruce and Gilifillan and Acton. A triple signature note. The Freidberg number is 1189a. Fifteen of these notes are known to exist, and PMG has only graded eight of them. This note is graded by PMG as Fine 15 with a comment about restoration.
