Description: . —A Note About Shipping— Look, I realize that $8.99 for shipping looks ridiculous -- but I actually end up paying even MORE than that for a Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope, after eBay's fees are taken into account! (Unfortunately, comics cannot legally be shipped by the cheaper Media Mail rate.) The best way to get more bang for your shipping bucks is by winning enough of my comic book auctions to fill up this envelope, which can hold up to 16 comics (with cardboard surrounding the books). Or I can fit up to 60 comics in a Priority Mail Medium-Size Flat Rate Box for a flat $18.00 shipping to any US address. So buy more and save! —Description of This Auction—— Having all of my comics professionally graded by CGC would cost a fortune and take forever, and I don't have either the time or patience. But if you do, nearly all of my comics definitely are "grading worthy!" My grading scale includes Near Mint (looks like it was just bought, any flaws are extremely minor), Very Fine (almost Near Mint, but just misses), Fine (still looks new but has small imperfections), Very Good (shows evidence of handling and has notable flaws but none are disastrously awful), Good (more flawed, still a solid book for reading but that's about it), Fair (big problems) and Poor (horrible condition, trash it after reading it). Here is what you will get in this auction: This auction is for eight issues of the original DC Vertigo "Lucifer" comic book series written by Mike Carey. This series is a spinoff from the Neil Gaiman "Sandman" series, where the character was introduced. (NOTE: I am selling nearly the entire 75-issue "Lucifer" series, broken up into multiple auctions, so be sure to check out my other listings!) More details about the eight comics you will get in this auction: LUCIFER issue 53, October 2004, by Mike Carey, Peter Gross and Ryan Kelly. VERY FINE condition. What keeps it from being Near MInt is a horizontal impression on the cover possibly made by some kind of printing press roller -- it's hard to see in the photo above, and I couldn't angle the light to get a decent photo of the flaw, which really only becomes noticeable if you turn the book back and forth under a light, but I'm picky enough to mention it. LUCIFER issue 54, November 2004, NEAR MINT. LUCIFER issue 55, December 2004, VERY FINE (only some tiny stress indents at spine). LUCIFER issue 56, January 2005, NEAR MINT. LUCIFER issue 57, February 2005, by Mike Carey, Peter Gross and Ryan Kelly. VERY FINE condition (some minor stress indents at spine). LUCIFER issue 58, March 2005, by Mike Carey and Ronald Wimberly. FINE condition (some minor stress indents at spine, and a very slightly "bumped" corner at top right). LUCIFER issue 59, April 2005, by Carey, Gross and Kelly. NEAR MINT. LUCIFER issue 60, May 2005, NEAR MINT. You'll love them! Any questions, just ask! ANOTHER GREAT COMICS AUCTION, FROM A SMOKE-FREE, PET-FREE HOME! ----------------Shipping Info---------------- Up to 16 comics will ship for a flat $8.99 to any US address, in a Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope with cardboard surrounding the books for protection. Unfortunately, comics cannot legally be shipped by the post office's cheaper Media Mail rate. YOUR BEST SHIPPING DEAL would be to win enough of my auctions to fill this envelope, which can hold up to 16 comics. Even better, I can get up to 60 comics in a Priority Medium-Size Flat-Rate Box for a flat $18.00 to any US address. IMPORTANT: If you win more than one of my auctions, DO NOT PAY the individual invoices eBay will send, because they will not show the shipping discount. Instead, let me know, and I will send you a revised, lower invoice through eBay! International shipping will be higher, and only through eBay's Global Shipping Program. Comics will be bagged together two to a bag with a board between them, not individually bagged and boarded.
