This monster is a scale-sized model of the original S-1 of 1939, a one-of-a-kind prototype that paved the way for the more famous 4-4-4-4 Duplex engines of the late 1940s. The engine and tender together measure over three feet long. It is made of brass and features smoke sounds and a terrific amount of detail. 3rd Rail is a division of Sunset Models and makes a terrific line of brass locomotives and cars.
