Description: - Lurch -2010 Camaro 2SS / RS Go to www.LurchCamaro.com for more pictures, videos, and information. I’m selling my beloved Lurch. It will be hard to let her go, but I think it is time. She isn’t much of a family car, and with our local drag strip turned into warehouses, I don’t have the regular opportunities to race her anymore either. So it is time for somebody else to enjoy her as I have. I am the original and only owner of this heavily modified 2010 Camaro 2SS RS, street friendly drag race car. She has hundreds of modifications, all performed by me when I was a full line mechanic, then shop manager and lead mechanic at JDP Motorsports. I can’t count how much money or hours has been invested into her, well beyond the $100k mark. I know I won’t get even half that back, but that is how it goes with heavily modified vehicles. It just means the next owner will reap the rewards. Clean title with one accident in 2011 when I was sandwiched on the freeway. It was repaired at one of the top body shops around, and the best painters I know of, and received several body upgrades at the time. Pictures of the damage and repairs are on my website, www.LurchCamaro.com. Current dyno numbers at about 13-15psi is 853rwhp and 653rwtq on 91 octane, and 1005rwhp and 770rwtq on E85. The auto trans takes about 20%, which means the engine makes about 1066hp/816tq on 91, and 1256hp/1020tq on E85. The turbos and engine can create and maintain much more boost than this, but the trans wouldn’t hold it, so we stopped at these numbers. Go to www.LurchCamaro.com for more pictures and information. The issues she has are few: The fuel gauge doesn't work properly all the time. When filled, it will be pretty accurate for the first half of tank or so. Below 1/2 tank it will sometimes drop to zero. I've seen there are fixes for it through tuning, but I've never attempted, as it works well enough.I recently went into a steep driveway at a weird angle, and had the coilovers too soft, so the right front tire hit the fender and tweaked it a little. I mostly straightened it out, but the paint is cracked slightly at the lip over the tire. See the included picture. The front skinny tires are old and cracking, so should be replaced if using them. The current front tires on the car (a little wider) are new.The rear drag radials are a few years old, so if drag racing, would be helpful to replace them. They perform on the street fine (on dry roads). The included ZL1 wheels have curb rash, though not severe, and missing some of the center caps. No rear tires are included for them. There are a few small scratches and such that are typical for a street driven car, as shown in the pictures.Since the turbo kit is a race version and made for use with a 4L85, getting it to fit with the physically bigger 6L80 was difficult, and required denting the transmission pan in the front corners. The valve body and rest of the transmission components is not dented or damaged, and function perfectly.Since the intercooler is so large and thick, it blocks a lot of air to the radiator. Normal driving without AC on has never been an issue, but the coolant temperature goes high when using the AC in hot weather and city driving. Unless it's a real hot day, driving on the freeway with AC is usually fine, and like mentioned, driving any time without the AC on is no problem.
