Description: In the late '80s, Fred Gretsch Jr acquired the trademark to his family name and started building Gretsch guitars again after an over 10-year hiatus. In addition to the classic high end models, he introduced the Electromatic line which was a bit less beholden to Gretsch tradition than it is today. This guitar is a great example, pulling many features from the Gibson Les Paul, and less from the high-end Gretsch Jet series. This guitar has two Gretsch branded humbuckers, a Bigsby tailpiece, a tune-o-matic bridge, and the traditional Les Paul wiring system and the classic Les Paul flames made top with a cherry sunburst. It also sports block inlays and a Gretsch branded pickguard. This guitar recently enjoyed the legendary Subway Guitars setup and is ready to play out of the box with low action and a straight neck. Cosmetically, there are a few minor dings, but the overall condition is still excellent. It ships with a used hard case.
