Description: I bought a new American Fender Jazz bass in 1978 or 1979. I removed the pick guard and the bridge cover (ashtray) as soon as I got it home. The manual with serial number was removed along with the genuine Fender guitar strap. I carefully packed them away along with another genuine Fender guitar strap that I had saved from a Fender Telecaster bass that I bought new around 1970 if memory serves might have been another one in that time frame. The straps appear to be identical except the rivets on one are slightly larger. The straps have never been used. This is truly a rare find. Usually, the large chrome pieces have some wear or surface rust, but not these. The large bridge cover came with a piece of foam rubber inside and the original foam is still there but aged due to being stored for 46 years. This is also more proof that this is not some cheap Chinese knockoff. The serial number on the owners manual is further proof of authenticity. No polish or cleaner has been applied to bring up the beautiful finish. A gentle wipe down with a microfiber towel with Meguiar's Quick Detailer was all they needed prior to being offered for sale. Owners Manual looks great too. I am 75 now and have health issues so I don't play anymore. I am not a business. I have been an Ebayer for around 25 years with 100% feedback. FREE SHIPPING Conus lower 48 states
