Description: Rare 1970s Dr. Grabow CDL Aluminum Radiator Tobacco Pipe with Briar Bowl. *NM* Dr Grabow CDL Aluminum Stem radiator Tobacco Pipe with Briar Bowl in Near Mint Very Lightly Smoked Condition. Chamber appears to have been Smoked a handful of times and is in Outstanding Very Lightly Smoked Condition. The Acorn Briar Bowl shows off some beautiful Mixed grain Consisting of Bird's Eye on one flank and Flame Grain opposite, and is Finished in a Gorgeous Contrasting Auburn Walnut Stain. The Black Aluminum anodized Stem is in Outstanding condition with Zero scratches. The Black Nylon bit is Chatter Free and Sports the white Spade inlay Synonymous with Dr Grabow pipes. **The Aluminum stem can accommodate a 6mm filter, However I've included a New Removable Reducer insert for those that prefer a non-filtered pipe.** the CDL pipe was first produced in 1975 to the early 80s in limited qualities and test marketed in several U.S. cities but apparently never mass marketed. Making it a Rather Rare and collectible pipe. "I find it interesting that this CDL Pipe wasn't very well received in the 1970s, considering there are so many similar pipes that are quite popular, the Nording Compass and the Tsuge basic are just a few that come to mind, I guess it was just ahead of its Time."
