Description: 1964 - 2023 Kennedy Half P&D 114 Coin COMPLETE Uncirculated Set (with 2 special "S" issues) including 9 Silver Issues Up for sale is a 1964 - 2023 Kennedy Half 114 Coin set which includes ALL of the regularly struck Philadelphia and Denver business strike coins plus 2 special issue business strike "S" coins (the 1976 "S" 40% Silver Bicentennial Kennedy Half from the 1976 silver mint set & the 2017 "S" Enhanced Kennedy). This set is a COMPLETE set of business strike Kennedy Halves (but does NOT contain any of the proofs or the 12 satin coins from 2005 through 2010). It has become increasingly hard to source all of these uncirculated coins at reasonable pricing as these coins are popular and over time the value of this set has continued to increase. The Kennedy coins have, with only a few exceptions, not been put into circulation since 2002 and the only way to source the coins back from 2002 from the present has been by purchasing mint rolls/bags or mint sets directly from the mint at a premium. Therefore mintages on these coins are modest. This large set includes many different and interesting Kennedy Halves: 1) 1964 & 1964 D - only Kennedy halves minted in 90% silver for circulation and the 1964 D half is the only Kennedy half with the mint mark on the reverse.2) 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968 D and 1969 D - 40% silver Kennedy Halves minted for circulation3) 1970 D- 40% silver half only minted for the 1970 mint set (ie. it was not minted and put into circulation) and is therefore relatively scarce4) 1976 "S" 40% silver half - only minted in special silver mint sets for the bicentennial.5) 1982 P&D/1983 P&D - Only circulation years of the Kennedy halves which were NOT included in mint sets and therefore uncirculated examples are more challenging to find.6) All 2002 and onward Kennedy halves, both P&D - The last Kennedy halves minted and released into general circulation were those in 2001. Since 2002 Kennedy halves, both P&D coins, have ONLY been available by buying directly from the mint in bags/rolls. Therefore mintages on these coins are modest (see mintages at the end of this listing).7) 2017 "S" Enhanced Uncirculated Kennedy Half - in 2017 as part of the 225th mint anniversary set the mint released an "S" mint mark "enhanced uncirculated" coin which cannot be found in circulation and the sets were sold out. Most all of the coins in this set have been sourced directly from mint rolls/bags/mint sets and are nice uncirculated coins (exceptions are the years in which there were no mint sets, such as 1982/1983...for these years the coins have been sourced from uncirculated bank rolls).
