Description: 1947-S Lincoln Wheat Cent Reverse Lamination Error Peel Retained Cud This listing is for one 1947-S Lincoln Wheat Cent with a Reverse Lamination Error Peel and Retained Cud. This coin has a small peel along the reverse rim which originates at the 11 o’clock position and extends through the 10 o’clock position. It’s my opinion this was a pre-strike peel. The Cud was retained. The “E” and lower portion of the “P” in the motto were struck on the Retained Cud. The obverse of this coin has several unusual blotches on the surface. They each seem to have a defined border. This likely occurred during the planchet or minting process. In my opinion this coin would grade About Uncirculated in condition.
