One side had Text, illustrations and photos of the 100 years of development of the German Railways. The other side has a large Color map that is surrounded by great real photos of the various famous trains and terminals etc during those 100 years. I would point out that one of those photos shows Hitler “The Fuehrer and Reich Chancellor with Dr. Julius Dorpmuller, the Director General of the German Railway Co. (I show that to you above. Another interesting photo of a Train with the large shadow of a Zellilin airship next to it (I show that you you below) ~~~~~~~~ In my research, I noticed that there was an important exhibit in Nuremberg, Germany titled the same name as this brochure. It was commemorating 100 years of Railway Development . . . an article about the even appeared in the Railway Age magazine issue August 3, 1935 and I show the text below. If I made a leap, I could propose that this booklet was prepared in conjunction with that special exhibit, which ran from August to October of 1935. Railway Age Issue August 3, 1935: An exhibit entitled “A Century of German Railways” is being presented to the German public by the Reichsbahn, beginning on July 14, coincident with the opening of the Jubilee Exhibition of the Nuremberg Museum of Public Conveyance . . . This exhibit commemorates 100 years of railway development in Germany, the first railway constructed on German soil having been opened for business from Nuremberg to Fuerth of July 14, 1835 . . . The exhibit is being held in the Nuremberg terminal and is devoted to a portrayal of the century of progress of German railway construction and development . . .” I will point out that the wonderful cover of the booklet was art by Alexandre Riemer (Ukrainian, 1899–1942) AND this image is the same as his famous Travel Poster.
