Portfolio of 25 mounted and matted facsimile reproductions of etchings by Hans Meid (1883-1957) German painter and illustrator, via his superb printmaking techniques, often able to convey the subtleties of impressionism via his work; Limited edition No. 475 of 475 printed; with etchings illustrated in black and white throughout; each matte surround measures approx. 10 1/2" x 13 3/4", with the images tipped-on to the backers at the tops of each picture, each with some margin; images themselves approx. 5" x 6" average size, some smaller, some larger; these are loosely-contained in a cloth folding portfolio which also holds a 7 - page foreword about the artist by Max J. Friedlander (1867-1958) German art expert & art historian; portfolio with some edge, tips wear and darkening; top corner of booklet with a little chip; otherwise the Meid etchings are in very good condition and clean, nice variety of examples of this artists' excellent work.
