A classic of the genre and Falkner's second novel. Written by J. Meade Falkner (1858-1932), English novelist and businessman. The present is considered to be his most successful novel. Complete with half title.Pictorial bookplate to front pastedown. CONDITION In the original publisher's full cloth binding with coats of arm illustration in silver and black to front board. Externally very smart with only minor shelf wear, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities, back strip darkened, light marks to front board and back strip. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
