Description: Nice Antique Copy of “Jo’s Boys, and How They Turned Out. A Sequel to ‘Little Men’ ” by Louisa May Alcott. The Fourth Book in the Classic “Little Women” Series by the Author. Published by Roberts Brothers – First Edition, 1886. This is apparently the First State as it is about 1 1/4” in depth including the boards (Second State is thinner at 1”). One of only 10,000 copies printed. The Book is in good condition. Generally clean though there is some age darkening to the Pages. The Brown Boards are in very nice condition with the Gold, Black & Red Embossing still reasonably intact. Binding towards the front and back is still tight, but towards the middle it is loose and some pages are beginning to pull away. Needless to say, gentle handling is recommended to continue to preserve it in its currently intact state (or restoration, if preferred).
