This attractive merchant scrip features a Vignette of Ceres speaking to an Indian huntress on the left. A bold "10" is printed in red at the center and a "10" sits in the upper right corner in yellow. The Pettigrews were grocers and issued these notes with the option of redeeming them either at the Bank of Black River or at their Office in Ludlow.
