1857 Flying Eagle Broken Wing Tip DDO Doubled Die Obv. Snow S-3 RARE any Cond.

Description: This 1857-P Flying Eagle Cent is a Double Die Obverse (DDO) ERROR which is a highly sought after valuable piece among ERROR collectors and Coin enthusiasts alike. The coin is quite circulated unfortunately and should grade out around VG but please grade it for yourself from the close-up photos offered. This ERROR is easily seen up close with a 5x glass on the Obverse looking at the Right Wing Tip being very faded or completely missing. This was caused by folks at the mint over polishing the die before making more strikes with the same dies. You will also see some doubling of the letters going to the right in United States of America which is why the coin is considered a Double Die Obverse. This "Error" in particular is a well known Error but can be very hard to locate in higher grades and for your edification, there are articles about the1857 DDO "Broken Wing" all over the Internet.
