Full leather. Volume II has two loose pages in beginning of book. Very scarce two volume history. Now the bad news, previous owner removed all the steel engraved illustrations. Both volumes contain all historical text and are missing no pages of historical information. My loss is your gain. If the plates had been included, I would be asking hundreds more than asking price.
