Description: Nice level of preservation for this circulated, low-mintage key date/mint issue. Circulation is evident, however a nice degree of detail is still present to make a great addition to most any collection. Especially nice is the contrast between the devices and the fields that creates a very pleasing eye-appeal. This is the rarest of all 1840's O-mint Dimes with only 230,000 in total mintage. It is in our best and honest opinion that the condition of this coin is Very Choice Very Fine.
