Description: 1794 large cent. S-55 R2. 1794 head of 1794. Significantly sharper were properly struck but there is weakness at the bottom of the obverse and the opposing area at the top of the reverse. Apparently the dies were not in proper axial alignment (die faces not parallel). While the details over most of the coin are consistent of a higher grade, the date and most of STATES are weak. Mostly glossy medium Chocolate speckled with darker chocolate and olive brown toning. The surfaces are mostly smooth but there are a few very tiny flakes or pits on both sides mostly in the poorly struck areas. A minor rim bruise over the E in LIBERTY can identify this coin.
