Bound with The Whole Book of Psalms by Sternhold and Hopkins (1677). First chapter woodcut initials throughout. Collation: *^2, A-Z^8, Aa-Zz^8, Aaa-Zzz^8, Aaaa-Kkkk^8. Complete. Binding: Contemporary English Restoration binding by the Queen’s Binder. Brown paneled calf with flowers, tulips, and drawer handle tools. Metal corner- and centerpieces, two working clasps. Inner dentelles. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Condition: Bright and clean overall. Crisp text throughout with good margins. A1 small piece torn from bottom corner costing one letter; Ccc4 piece burned off at lower corner costing sixteen lines of text. Top and bottom boards starting. Top of spine chipped. Provenance: Attractive contemporary inscription to first blank leaf reads “Eliza Baker February XVI Anno Domini 1676/7”. “J Remington” to top of title page.
