Description: Hi, up for auction is a 28 VOLT BENDIX KING KX-155 NAV COM RADIO . It´s in excellent working condition and the display is clear with no missing digits ( see 2nd picture ) when working on 12 volt. Here is the best description i could get about the problem with this radio: This radio was installed in a Piper PA28-161. Upon first powering it up, everything worked properly. We powered it down and started the engine. Upon powering on again, the display began to flicker and was unreadable. The frequency it was left on still came through as did the information on the CDI and GS for the RNAV approach but the display was partially off. When at 12V and engine off the radio functions properly and display works. At 14V and engine running, the radio still functions properly but the display cuts out. It seems there is either a contact issue within the unit at the display board, a capacitor that’s not regulating voltage or a fault in the display itself.
