Description: Item Description: Each package contains 1 dozen eggs = 2 ½ cups liquid egg when reconstituted. Store unopened package in a cool place. For long term storage, keep in sealed buckets or bins to prevent damage to packaging/seal. Packages are a thick mylar material. Powdered, freeze dried eggs are sealed securely inside with appropriate oxygen absorber for maximum shelf life. May last 30 years or more when unopened and stored properly. Comes with printed version of instructions below. Instructions: To reconstitute, one egg equals about 2 tablespoons of freeze dried egg powder mixed with 2 tablespoons of water. To avoid clumps, use a whisk, blender, or immersion blender to mix egg powder and water. These can be used in any baking recipe, or can be rehydrated and used to make scrambled eggs, added to meatloaf, etc.Once package is open, store egg powder in a glass jar with a tight sealing lid. Keep oxygen absorber in the jar with the egg powder. Use within a few days of opening for maximum freshness. Note from the seller: In case of emergency, survival food shouldn’t be gross or void of nutrition, it should be just the opposite! Thats why I began selling these packages of freeze-dried farm fresh eggs. You deserve to know that the food you’re investing in was grown with care, and will be a nutritional boost when you need it most. These eggs come from my own flock of backyard hens. These are the eggs that I feed my family and sell to my friends. My hens are fed a diet of soy-free, corn-free, non-gmo feed, as well as a variety of kitchen scraps, boonworms, sunflower seeds and herbs, and lots of fresh greens and produce in the spring and summer. The ladies are currently housed in a spacious and secure coop and run, free to frolic and scratch and be chickens without threat of predators. I am working on transitioning to a pasture based system where they can be out on grass for at least 6 months out of the year here in North Idaho. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out. Lots of love, Mary Prepper, survival food, camping, camp, MRE
